I'm finishing up on letters before heading north to visit an aunt. Mr. Duffy will remain behind to hold down the fort and keep the pets and plants alive while I'm gone. Mrs. Jean had sent me a packet of tea but I have yet to sit down and have a cup of tea with her while I respond to her letter. Tea letters require ceremony and cannot be rushed. I may have to wait till I return in a few days to write this one. So, Mrs. Jean, if you happen to see this post, please be patient! I've not forgotten you!
I leave tomorrow and I find it remarkable that all can seem under control until the day before launch when suddenly all sorts of things come to mind demanding they be tended to prior to departure. The kitchen floor for example is threatening to be positively sticky soon. Oh why can't it wait? I'd rather be drinking tea!

Today was a good letter writing day. I have recovered from my letter writing funk and am now in a letter writing frenzy. I really think that Diamine Oxblood ink helped my recovery. Another boost today was tea with Lady Pamela. Inspired by Anna's traveling tea party Lady Pamela enclosed a bag of tea in her recent and very enjoyable letter. Today I enjoyed the tea while responding to her letter. I like the idea of enclosing a tea bag. I like it a lot. If any of you should receive a tea bag enclosed in a letter from me, please join me for tea. It's a nice additive to any conversation.
