![]() I found the missing drawing of my daughter that I meant to post previously. I thought I would find it while looking for something else but instead it just appeared this morning on the coffee table. (Hmm, strangeness.) I am guessing it was hiding in one of my husband's office piles and recently uncovered by my son who happened to be looking for something else. Whatever the explanation, I am glad to have it in my hands again. It's been slightly scuffed but that's what happens when children run off and play.

Thank you, Limner, that's a high compliment indeed. I used a wooden 2B pencil on bristol. This is my third (serious) portrait. The first two were of my sons and I can see a progression of skill. I did five more someone else but do not have pictures of them. After doing five in a row I wanted to put my pencil down. Unfortunately I never picked it up again. Perhaps one day my hand will reclaim its skill but that'll be a day of greater leisure than I have now. But...the empty nest is just around the corner :o(
