"I've been writing an ongoing letter to my children since they were born, full of recollections of their childhoods. I've filled two journals. It's a great thing to do as a mother - you forget a lot as you go along, but reading over what you've written brings all the memories back." Writing letters to my children from birth is something I wish I had done. I have written letters to my children but not as many as I want them to have; not nearly as many. Tory Burch has offered me a good reminder of an important deed I must not leave undone. As I write this the thought comes to me of letter journals; of starting a journal for each child and filling it with letters addressed to them. A journal letter can grow over the years and by the time it is finished they will be old enough to appreciate the value of the gift. Yes, I like this idea; I like it very much.
